Construction
Our furniture is constructed to last a lifetime using time honored techniques such as mortise and tenon and dovetail joints.
We only use solid wood, including the back of dressers, cabinets and bookshelves and the bottoms of drawers.
Our drawers are fully dovetailed on all four corners. All dovetails are hand-cut and the drawers are hand fit.
Drawer sides are usually made from a different species than the main body and are 3/8" thick on small drawers and 1/2" thick on larger drawers.
Chair joints are mortise and tenon with a pin through the joint. These joints will not loosen up over time.
